Battleships Alfonso García Will Miss Season Tuesday, June 29th, 2066 The doctors have spoken and Alfonso García of the Pimentel Battleships didn't like what he heard. The 35-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. García sustained his season-ending injury during the Hatillo Lookouts game yesterday at Field of the Lookouts. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Pimentel medical staff reported García had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9-10 months. This season he has made 34 relief appearances, collecting 2 saves. García has worked 46.1 innings, yielding 61 hits and giving out 49 free passes while striking out 40. He has a 3-6 record with a 11.27 ERA. |
