2B Díaz Receives 3-Game Suspension Sunday, July 28th , 2069 The league commissioner has zero tolerance when it comes to touching an umpire. That's the reason Ramón Díaz of the Sounders has been given a 3-game suspension. He apparently made too much contact with the home plate umpire while intensely questioning a called strike in a recent game at Mudsharks Ballpark with the Pueblo Viejo Mudsharks. Díaz said he would not appeal and would serve his suspension beginning today. Thus far this season Díaz has hit .261 with no home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 23 times. |
