Tony De Córdova Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Sunday, July 29th , 2068 Tony De Córdova will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Caimito del Guayabal starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. De Córdova was injured while throwing a pitch in the Conchs-Wolverines clash at Fairfield Grounds recently. Doctors said he has a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be out a minimum of 10-11 months. In 6 starts this season, De Córdova has picked up 6 wins while suffering 4 losses. He has pitched 61 innings, allowed 46 hits, struck out 35 and posted a 2.21 ERA. |
