Loros Win, 6-5, at Quebec

The Lagunillas Loros faced a tough opponent in Quebec pitcher Mário Hernández, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dragons Ballpark by a final score of 6-5. Hernández went 6 innings and allowed 4 runs. The winner was Lagunillas reliever De-shi Zhang, now 3-1. The loser was Janani Ibrahim. Rien Oost was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 32 of 37 save opportunities.
Ueda, Japan-born Matsuo Shinoda came through in the clutch. In the top of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Loros trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run triple to right-center to put Lagunillas on top.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Quebec manager Michael Vallery. "But we decided not to take it."
With the victory, the Loros upped their record to 62-40.
