Injury Sidelines Evelyn Fowler for Season Friday, July 12th , 2069 The doctors have spoken and Evelyn Fowler of the Hidalgo Samurai didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Fowler sustained his season-ending injury during the Rio Verde Arriba Doughboys game yesterday at Hidalgo Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hidalgo medical staff reported Fowler had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months. So far this year Fowler has a 4-6 record with a 6.83 ERA. |
