Season-Ending Injury for Mitsuhide Oka

The season is ending on a bad note for Mitsuhide Oka, closer for the Montellano Railcats. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Oka was hurt against the Chivacoa Tiger-Cats while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn back muscle and will be out for at least 5 months.

This year Oka has no saves. In no relief appearances he has tossed 66.2 innings, fanned 55 and given up 16 walks with a 3-4 record. The Montellano reliever has recorded a 2.97 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .216 when he is on the mound.
