Cascio Slugs Dragon Riders to 7-1 Win
|
The Changsha Dragon Riders beat the Baracoa Bahia, 7-1, at Dragon Riders Ballpark. The win was due in part to left fielder Vanni Cascio, who went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Todd Millar got the win, improving to 11-5. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 1 run, while striking out 5 and walking 0. With the victory, the Dragon Riders upped their record to 58-58.
Changsha took a 7-1 lead on Cascio's 31st home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Wu-jiang Jian in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Changsha to the win.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Dragon Riders manager , "I like our chances."
