Wednesday, June 23rd, 2021: Santurce fans will be disappointed to learn that Gabriel Morán suffered a herniated disc while colliding with a player at a base in today's game. After the doctor informed the Santurce de Cangrejeros manager that Morán was expected to miss 1-2 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the second baseman could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
This year Morán is hitting at a .368 pace with 2 home runs and 27 RBIs. He has played in 46 games and scored 42 times.

Monday, June 21st, 2021: Yi-xiao Gan of the Wuhan Blackhawks has just enjoyed one of the better weeks of his career. That fact was not lost on Longitude Division officials, who named him Player of the Week.
Gan logged a .476 batting average for the Wuhan Blackhawks, racking up 2 RBIs and no home runs.
For the season Gan has produced 37 hits in 103 at-bats for a .359 average with 6 home runs and gotten on base at a .445 clip.

 | Venture Brothers Southorn LAD Hitter of the Week
Monday, June 21st, 2021: No single hit brought Brad Southorn Player of the Week honors -- the Vancouver Venture Brothers catcher corralled the award with a consistent approach in every at-bat.
"Hitting is all about discipline," said Southorn. "When you lose focus, start to lunge at the ball and swing too agressively... swinging at a lot of bad pitches... that's when your average starts to drop and you wind up fighting for playing time. You're most successful when you concentrate on the ball and make 'em throw strikes."
Concentrate he did. Southorn stroked 9 hits in 25 at-bats while cranking out 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
Thus far this year Southorn is batting .325 with 14 home runs, 42 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
