Caballeros Deal Dragons 8-1 Defeat
|
Dragons Ballpark was the site for Latitude Division action featuring the Quebec Dragons and Santiago de los Caballeros.
The Santiago de los Caballeros got a stellar performance from pitcher Octávio Alemán, who handcuffed the Quebec offense en route to a win, 8-1, at Dragons Ballpark. Alemán, now 12-5, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing 1 run.
Santiago de los relied on the bat of Luís Castro to get the win. The catcher ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Caballeros ahead, 3-1. For the game, Castro had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Castro said after the game.
The triumph puts Santiago de los at 60-53 for the season.
