Cougars Earn 3-1 Win Against Loros
|
The Lagunillas Loros got a superb performance from pitcher Muhammed Ukurugenzi. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Colon. The Cougars won the game, 3-1. Ukurugenzi threw 8.2 innings of 6-hit ball. The win belongs to Felipe Coronado in relief. His record improves to 4-3. De-shi Zhang took the loss for Lagunillas. The victory puts Colon at 30-51.
Colon needed the clutch hitting of Armando Fragos to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Cougars on top, 3-1. For the game, Fragos had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Colon manager . "It's usually not just one thing."
