Border Cats Not Competitive in 11-0 Loss to Rio Verde Arriba Sunday, July 14th , 2069 The bats were ice cold today for the Tanggu Border Cats at Border Cats Stadium. Rio Verde Arriba Doughboys starter Manolito Núñez kept the Border Cats cold all day, shutting them out in a 11-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 26-year-old hurler allowed 3 hits while striking out 4 and walking 0. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Núñez admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves." So far this year Núñez has made 14 starts, tossed 86.2 innings, struck out 45 batters and walked 30.
