League Suspends Viescas and Gonzáles for Fisticuffs Friday, July 30th, 2066 If there wasn't a history between Joey Viescas of Seoul and Pedro Gonzáles of Chihuahua, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Viescas said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Thus far this season Viescas is hitting .223 with 4 home runs, 20 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 57 hits in 256 at-bats and has played in 77 games. This year Gonzáles has a 7-3 record and a 3.30 ERA. |
