Suwon Loses Takanori Saito for Season Sunday, August 9th, 2065 Takanori Saito of the Samsung Lions just might have to call it quits for the season. The 27-year-old Suwon reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Tijuana Saltamontes recently at Grasshoppers Ballpark. Saito suffered a ruptured disc while throwing a pitch. The Samsung Lions medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 6-7 months. Saito has taken the mound for 18 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 0-1 record with a 2.67 ERA. The Suwon reliever has limited opposing batters to a .194 batting average. |
