Suwon-Valencia Trade: Pérez for Miao Wednesday, July 15th, 2065 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Suwon Samsung Lions and Valencia Cerveceros finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Suwon's 32-year-old C Jorge Pérez and 24-year-old minor league RHP Jung-ook Ha to Valencia in a swap for 19-year-old minor league RF Francisco Medrano, 23-year-old minor league 1B Chris Sharpley and 24-year-old minor league SS Wu-ti Miao. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. In the 2065 season Pérez is hitting .239 with 5 home runs. |
