Bay Sharks Hwui-ning Ling Down and Out for Year Monday, July 16th , 2068 Ichihara reliever Hwui-ning Ling could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. He exited yesterday's Yesan game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Ling would be out 12-13 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." Taking a look at this year, Hwui-ning Ling has made 7 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark and a 0.47 ERA. In pitching 19.1 innings, he has totaled 20 strikeouts and 11 walks. |
