Stars Xie-li Wu Down and Out for Year Sunday, August 26th , 2068
The doctors have spoken and Xie-li Wu of the Philadelphia Stars didn't like what he heard. The 32-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Wu sustained his season-ending injury during the Puerto Plata Pumas game yesterday at Pumas Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Philadelphia medical staff reported Wu had a sore shoulder and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
To this point in the season Wu has 8 wins and 8 losses and a 3.11 ERA.
