Gumero Red-Hot, LOD Player of the Week Monday, July 30th , 2068 Andrés Gumero must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .440 clip, then the Philadelphia center fielder finds out he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the LOD Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Gumero batted .440 (11-for-25) with no home runs and 1 RBIs. This season Gumero has hit 7 home runs and posted a .251 batting average. |
