Mestres Holds Changsha Scoreless Saturday, July 30th, 2067 Benny Mestres shut down the Changsha Dragon Riders today, blanking them 5-0 on 5 hits, ringing up 5 strikeouts and allowing no walks. The Puerto Plata Pumas pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Mestres said after the game. "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." Mestres has a 8-2 season record so far. In 15 starts, he has fanned 82 batters in 102 innings with a 3.18 ERA.
