Tiller Wins JPNTA Player of the Week Trophy Monday, August 13th , 2068 Las Marias fans have something to crow about today as Las Marias center fielder Charlie Tiller nabbed the JPN Tertiary Affiliation Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Tiller. He posted a .632 average (12-for-19) this past week with 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, and 7 runs scored. This season Tiller is batting .305 with 72 hits and 18 home runs. He has scored 54 times and has 44 runs batted in. |
