Takishida's Strong Week Earns JPNTA Trophy Monday, August 8th, 2067 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the JPN Tertiary Affiliation, but last week Kiichi Takishida of the Hongsong Checkers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Takishida rocked opposing pitching for a .565 average (13-for-23), 1 home run and 6 RBIs to come away with the award. For the season, Takishida is hitting at a .262 clip with 4 home runs, 32 RBIs and has scored 39 runs. He has 70 hits, 60 walks and a .400 on-base percentage. |
