Val-dOr-Fundacion Brawl, Meyia and Lee Suspended Sunday, June 16th , 2069 After an intense confrontation, both the Crunch Elián Meyia and the Torment Yu-bao Lee were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Val-dOr-Fundacion game. Elián Meyia will miss 5 games, while Yu-bao Lee was suspended for 10 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Elián Meyia commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Meyia is batting .254 this season in 39 games with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 35 hits in 138 at-bats. To this point in the season, Lee has rung up 1 save in 14 relief appearances. He has also crafted a 3.62 ERA, 2 wins and 1 loss and 17 strikeouts in 32.1 innings. |
