CUBPA Star of the Week Named Monday, August 9th, 2066 Few players his age are still in the league, but Marcello Mazzon of the Orangeville Red Jackets clearly loves the game and clearly he can still get the job done. Last week the 37-year-old left fielder hit the ball with the consistency of someone ten years younger, which made Mazzon a popular and well-deserved selection as CUB Primary Affiliation Player of the Week. He paced the Red Jackets attack by putting up a .571 batting average, 8 hits in 14 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 3 home runs. Mazzon also scored 3 runs. Mazzon is currently batting .300 with 13 home runs and 39 RBIs. |
