Cruz on a Hot Streak, LOD Player of the Week Monday, August 20th , 2068 Once you hit 35, it's hard to say how much time you've got left in baseball. Yorvit Cruz has been fortunate as his numbers for the past week bear out. The 36-year-old first baseman, a favorite in the Hong Kong Golden Dragons clubhouse, hit .375 last week as he put up Player of the Week numbers. Cruz also put together 9 hits in 24 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 RBIs for the week. This year Cruz is batting .237 with 81 hits, 14 home runs, 41 RBIs, 33 walks, .306 OBP and has scored 39 runs. |
