Big Day with Bat: Yates 5-for-8 Sunday, August 1st, 2066 Today at Stars Ballpark, the Maracaibo Jackals topped the Philadelphia Stars in spite of a standout batting performance by first baseman Roy Yates. Yates had a very impressive day at the plate, spanking Maracaibo pitching for 5 base hits, but couldn't do enough for a win. Maracaibo whipped Philadelphia by the score of 19-15. Roy Yates struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 11th, hit a solo-shot off Adolfo Pablo in the 13th, singled in the 15th and hit an RBI single in the 16th.
