Jackals CF Álvarez Out Sunday, June 3rd , 2068 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Pancho Álvarez of the Jackals knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Santiago de Cuba Rough Riders while throwing the ball. Because of a forearm strain, the Maracaibo center fielder is expected to miss 6-7 weeks. Álvarez was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." To date this year Álvarez is batting .273 with 6 home runs. |
