Valedón Raps 3 HR Against Cerveceros Sunday, August 7th, 2067 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Jackals Ballpark buzzing, Maracaibo Jackals right fielder Jorge Valedón blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 9-1 win over the Valencia Cerveceros. "Everything was clicking," Valedón told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Valedón shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Jackals manager said. "Jorge played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Jorge Valedón grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Reno Casanas in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Reno Casanas in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Jesús Romo in the 7th. For the year Valedón is batting .239 with 21 home runs. |
