Easson Stars in 7-4 Nueve Garras de Jaguar Win
|
Oaxaca left fielder Pat Easson made his presence felt in the 7-4 Nueve Garras de Jaguar triumph over the Moca Machine. Easson was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. The winner was Farruco Quelada, who threw 79 pitches over 6 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 6 hits. Ryan Hesson converted his 1st save in 2 tries.
With Oaxaca leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Easson came up to bat against Moca pitcher Davey Gourdine. Easson hit a fastball to left for a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Nueve Garras de Jaguar on top, 5-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Easson told the Oaxaca Daily.
The Nueve Garras de Jaguar have now won 5 straight.
