Burning Dragons Deal Stars 3-2 Defeat
|
The Busan Burning Dragons eked out a 3-2 win versus the Philadelphia Stars at Stars Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Wang Xiao. He was terrific. Xiao got the win, improving to 9-8. He allowed 3 hits and walked 4 over 6 innings. Xiao allowed 2 runs. Hertford Yoncis earned the save for Busan, his 9th of the year.
Busan relied on the bat of Won-sub Park to get the win. The left fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Burning Dragons ahead, 3-0. For the game, Park had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"Feels good to get the job done," Park said after the game.
The victory puts Busan at 45-67.
