Monterrey starter René Granados had a strong outing against the Rizao Rally Cats at Rizao Grounds. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-1 win. Wally Stanley earned the save for Monterrey, his 17th of the year. The win puts Monterrey at 30-13 this season.

Ken Dewolfe, the 27-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Dewolfe contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Monterrey up, 3-0.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Alacranes manager , "I like our chances."
