The Monterrey Alacranes got a superb performance from pitcher Enrique Laureano. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Mexico City. The Gila Monsters won the game, 4-3. Laureano threw 6.0 innings allowing 4 runs. The win belongs to Marcos Méndez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Enrique Laureano took the loss for Monterrey. The loss makes Monterrey 14-9.

Paul Leah, who is tied for 6th in the LOD in RBI with 10, aided the Mexico City cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the right fielder drove in one run.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Leah told the Mexico City Gazette. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
