The home crowd had a good time watching the Monterrey Alacranes and Mexico City Gila Monsters get after it.

The Mexico City Gila Monsters topped the Monterrey Alacranes, 6-2, with first baseman Esteban Morales playing a big role. Morales went 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Gila Monsters in the win. The win puts Mexico City at 10-12.

Had Abél Tinga not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Tinga hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Gila Monsters.

"It feels good to get this one," Tinga told the Mexico City Gazette.
