San Lorenzo second baseman Pancho Rodríguez picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Busan Burning Dragons, 4-3. Oliverio De La Viña was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 5 walks and 2 strikeouts. Rubén Rúbio closed the door for San Lorenzo, picking up his 2nd save of the year.
Rodríguez had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Hirohisa Sugiyama, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Legends a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Rodríguez.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Busan manager said following the tough loss.
The win puts San Lorenzo at 3-1.
