JPN - Happy times in Tokorozawa as the Arsenal and star starting pitcher George Eames put the finishing touches on a $41,970,000 contract extension that will keep the 33-year-old in town 3 years longer. But, wait! This deal was a pre-req to a trade between the Arsenal and the Detoit Tigers. Yes, Eames is coming to Detroit, and here is the announcement…

CAN - The Tigers and Arsenal confirmed this afternoon that a trade had been agreed upon. In the deal, Detroit will get 33-year old starting pitcher George Eames, while Tokorozawa will receive 37-year old starting pitcher Jung-min Yu, 21-year old minor league shortstop Huang-fu Tsu, 22-year old minor league catcher Dalton Laporte and 20-year old minor league right fielder Won-sup Kim.

VEN - Chung Li led the Jackals to a 14-1 triumph over the Monterrey Alacranes. He collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats to spark his club in the victory. Li singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off J. Guerrero in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off D. Carter in the 9th.

WBH Weekly Wrap-Up for June 30, 2016

KOR - The Marauders received bad news this morning. Yorkin Javio will miss 7-8 weeks due to a herniated disc. In the San Juan-Jeonju game he sustained the injury while making a defensive play. “I’m disappointed more than anything,” he told reporters later in the day. “You can’t help your team on the bench,” Javio sighed. “I’ll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery.”

PUR - Flying Squid third baseman Raúl García went ballistic today with the bat. He smoked the Bulldogs for 5 hits and sparked Osan to a 11-5 win over Bayamon at Flying Squid Ballpark.

PAN - Balboa Barracudas are on an 11-game win streak. They went 22-4 in June.

DOM - Bocas del Toro Ranas Rojas: SS Julián García was injured while throwing the ball. The Diagnosis: torn bicep muscle. He’s expected to miss about 7 months.

WBH Weekly-Wrap-Up for June 16, 2016

CHN - Rally Cat 1B Alberto Anruvio went on a tear this week, raising his batting average 30 points in one calendar week. At the heart of his blazing bat were two 4 hit performances, the most impressive on June 10th against Quebec. In this game, Anruvio went 4-6 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI’s. His two home runs totaled 822 feet (382, 440).

MEX - Toluca’s Roldán ‘Tiog’ Molina pulls up his boot straps and performs after hearing rumors of a demotion to AAA. He went 8 strong innings against Cancun allowing 5 hits, 1 ER, 1 BB, and 6 K’s. Toucans still don’t know what a Tiog is…

DOM - The Banshees tried, but could not solve Santo Domingo’s José Bernal, falling to the Saints 2-0. Bani managed only one hit off Bernal, who kept opposing hitters guessing all day. In a strong route-going performance, he had six strikeouts and walked none.

WBH Weekly Wrap-Up for May 26, 2016

CUB - Brooklyn has traded away their all star pitcher Alfredo Valenzvela and his 22 million a year contract to Detroit (CAN). The Hot Dogs were hoping to do it closer to the trade deadline but were in danger of getting nothing for the pitcher if they had waited much longer. Fans are still looking for manager Jae Gregory to bring some offense on board in hopes of challenging the other teams in the division. The Hot Dogs are 6-11 this year, batting .268 to this point, but the surprising news…Brooklyn’s combined ERA is 5.01, worst in all of Cuba.

JPN – The Sapporo Brewers go 0-6 on the week.
