Hey guys, not sure where to post this, but I’m resigning from Bonao effective immediately. I just haven’t been paying as much attention lately, but I had a really good time in this league. Plus Civ 6 just came out, so I’m probably going to spend my game time on that. Best of luck everyone!

  • OF Rodrigo Robton – He’s been destroying VEN this year, but I gave him an opt-out in his FA contract. Based on his success this season, I’m pretty sure he’ll exercise it, and I can’t offer him a new contract. Would be looking for a good prospect for him, he’s a difference maker.

RP Montenegro Madrid – He’s been my closer most of the last 2 years,…[Read more]

  • Bonao is in 1st place, and I’d like to reinforce my team, but I’m not 100% sure where. Most obvious need might be 3B, but I’ll even consider bench/platoon pieces in the IF/OF.

Can soak up $4m or so in salary (so contract of $8m) to make deal work. If you’re just looking to dump salary and can send a middling prospect, that could work too.

  • SP Quirino Fayela Elite pitcher in the last year of a $19m/year contract. Could be better value than paying like crazy for a free agent. I’m willing to pick up most of the salary depending on the players coming back.

Lots of other players possible, just hit me up if you see something you like.

Looking for a C most of all, but also need RP arms.

Looking forward to today’s matchup with Tijuana. TIJ has their ace going, but I’ve just got CF Kui off the DL, my best offensive player this year.

If anyone gets a chance, check out the 15-inning circus of a match where Bonao beat Bani 11-10 to force the one-game playoff. My top 3 relievers are all exhausted… it’s going to be…[Read more]

Yes, this next series will be huge. I’ve got my top prospect now in as cleanup hitter, let’s see how it goes! Good luck!

  • Mike N replied to the topic Pythagoras in the forum Hierarchy News 3 years, 10 months ago

Yeah I noticed that too. I’ve got the division lead but I’m hanging on by my fingernails. My top 3 offensive threats are out as are 1 SP and 1 RP. So I think the Bani Banshees are AI controlled, but I’ll be happy to hang on.

I really thought that the division was going to come down to the two of us this season since we’re the only 2…[Read more]

  • Looking for pitching, backup IF.

Not much to trade but I have some SP in AAA that are possibilites (Ocho, Huang, and Si on majors DL). Eraez, Deagen, Rey Ramirez are untouchable.

Can also take on bad money for prospects.

  • Mike N replied to the topic 2043 Draft in the forum Hierarchy Headquarters 4 years ago

Yes, this sounds like a great idea – the first few rounds done manually. I love drafting and watching players develop.

My concern with a screenshot of the players available would be that I use a lot of different information to figure out who to pick. (Like college/HS stats, etc.) Would we be able to see all of that? And their BNN page?

  • Mike N replied to the topic Budget Woes in the forum Hierarchy Headquarters 4 years ago

I hear ya, but I don’t think we should be making any changes at this point. I really don’t like it when major changes are made to online leagues, because it makes me rethink my whole strategy.

I’m working on a budget of $67m, and that’s just the way it is….

  • Mine took a long time and then was screwy when I got it…. will delete the WBH files and try again…

  • Oh, I think you’re right, Joe! I just did an experiment, and it does seem to be the case that players in the minors don’t get paid. Minors players do still count against your budget & impacts your ability to sign players, however. I guess that makes sense in some weird way, but I’ve got like a $7m differential on my books between what I’m spending…[Read more]

  • One thing I’ve never understood about OOTP salaries is that if guys are making the minimum they’ll continue to do so even if they’re in the minors. My understanding is that MLB doesn’t operate like this, though players do get a bonus for being on the 40-man.

It’s frustrating when you might need an injury fill-in early in the season but get stuck…[Read more]

  • Bump.

C’mon, someone’s got to want Takahashi. I’d like to get anything for him before he leaves via FA.

Price is one mediocre prospect, or two if you want me to cover his salary….

  • Need: prospects & young players

Jo Takahashi SP – Takahashi is solid, 7/6/7 and putting up 3.46 ERA this season, slots in as my #2 starter. He won’t talk extension so I’d like to get something for him before he goes. Salary is reasonable $3m. Not expecting much, make me an offer.

    Ransley O’Etigan 3B/LF – Good player, 6/6/7 and credible defender…[Read more]

  • Andres Flores 2B/LF
Flores slashed .326/.396/.441 this year and would be a good fit in any lineup. 50 BBs vs. 16 Ks this year. Signed for a reasonable $9.5m for the next 3 seasons, with a team option after that.

    Jin-man Chong SP
Jin-man is rated at 9/6/6, put up 2.9 WAR last year. Never misses a start with Iron Man in injury history. Could be a…[Read more]
