Silva Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Friday, June 14th , 2069 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Guadalupe Silva today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Field of the Racers and paced the Racers to a 23-6 win over the Santa Fe Crusaders. After his dynamite batting performance, the Loiza right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Guadalupe Silva singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and walked in the 7th.
