Ramírez Yulfo was locked and loaded, helping the Azua Tortugas beat the Santiago de Cuba Rough Riders, 4-1. Yulfo went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 3, and struck out 1. His record improves to 3-3. With the win, the Tortugas improved to 34-38.
In the bottom of the seventh, Enrique Soto stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Rough Riders were trailing 4-1, but had runners on 1st and 2nd. That's when Jesús Ríos made a terrific pitch and Soto flied out. Gone was the dream of a Santiago de Cuba comeback.
