Valencia Cerveceros starter Juan Iturbide turned in a top-notch performance against the Erie Sea Wolves at Cerveceros Stadium. The result was a win for the Cerveceros, 3-2. Valencia pitcher Romeo González got the win, upping his record to 4-2. Michinaga Ono got the loss. Valencia now has a record of 32-27 with the win.
The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the ninth. On a pitch from Michinaga Ono, Sung-heun Kim hit a run-scoring single. It gave Valencia the 3-2 win.
"It's a thrill to get that kind of win," Iturbide said.
