Alacranes Stumble, Lose to Gila Monsters
The Mexico City Gila Monsters topped the Monterrey Alacranes, 8-3, with shortstop Abél Tinga playing a big role. Tinga went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Gila Monsters in the win. The win leaves Mexico City with a record of 1-5.

Manny Ferdin dealt the Alacranes a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Mexico City leading 1-0, Ferdin, who won the VEN Rookie of the Year Award in 2066, hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run double.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Ferdin told the Mexico City Gazette.
