Samsung Lions Fall Short, 7-6, at Oaxaca
|
Suwon got a terrific game from third baseman Tony Pomales. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Oaxaca, 7-6. Pomales hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Oaxaca reliever Jong-suk Ki was the winner. His record is now 2-2. William Albermarle took the loss. Enrique Sepúlbeda converted his 29th save in 35 tries.
Jonathan Howse aided the Oaxaca cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the second. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 2 with a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Howse said.
The win hiked the Oaxaca record to 55-54.
