The Monterrey Alacranes got a superb performance from pitcher Tsing Khoo, but the Rizao Rally Cats still won the game, 5-1. Khoo threw 6.0 innings allowing 4 runs. Rizao reliever Marcelino Detevis picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tsing Khoo was saddled with the loss. Reydel Orrala was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 24 of 24 save opportunities.

Albert Boardman, the 25-year old shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Boardman contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put Rizao up, 3-1.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Boardman.

With the win, Rizao has a record of 43-46. Monterrey falls to 56-33.
