Hong Kong and Oaxaca duked it out and the Golden Dragons came out victorious.
The Hong Kong Golden Dragons picked up a win at Ballpark of Hong Kong, taking down the Oaxaca Nueve Garras de Jaguar, 4-3. Starting pitcher Sang-duk Cho was a big reason why. Cho got the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 5 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Cho allowed 3 runs. Jack Arlarcón was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 12 of 12 save opportunities.
With no one out in the bottom of the sixth, Marcio Vettori stroked a go-ahead 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put Hong Kong in front, 4-3.
"It was a solid team effort," said Vettori after the game.
Hong Kong now has a 3-game win streak.
