Rally Cats Need Extra Frames to Get Past Gila Monsters
A good performance from second baseman Pao-tzu Hsing helped the Rizao Rally Cats defeat the Mexico City Gila Monsters, 9-5. Hsing was 4-5 with 4 singles and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Rally Cats. Rizao reliever Pancho Sabla picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Marcos Méndez absorbed the loss. With the victory, the Rally Cats upped their record to 29-26.

The Rally Cats got a lift from third baseman Norogumi Mitsuya who had a solo home run in the top of the 14th inning off Marcos Méndez. It was his 1st home run of the season and put Rizao in front, 6-5.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Mexico City manager .
