Monterrey Alacranes starter Bang Hu hurled his team past the Mexico City Gila Monsters, 5-2. Monterrey leads the Longitude Division by 6 games.

With no one out in the bottom of the fifth, Allen Webb put Monterrey in front, 2-1, with a run-scoring single. The Alacranes went on to win the ballgame.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Hu said.
