Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Saltamontes
The Tijuana Saltamontes had to overcome a fine effort from Vancouver pitcher Paul Taaij to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Grasshoppers Ballpark. Taaij went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Tijuana reliever Bum-kyoo Ch'oe was the winner. His record is now 2-4. The losing pitcher was Hokichi Samurakami. The win lifted the Tijuana record to 57-53.

The most significant at-bat for Tijuana came with the bases empty in the bottom of the tenth. Saltamontes shortstop Delmar Chávez hit a solo home run to win the game.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Chávez.
