Chihuahuas Pull Back to .500 With Win Over Ventures
The home crowd had a good time watching the Vancouver Ventures and Chihuahua Chihuahuas get after it.

The Chihuahua Chihuahuas racked up a win at Ballpark of Chihuahua, bumping off the Vancouver Ventures, 9-3. Yuki Ohtsuka, who started for Chihuahua, pitched effectively for his team. In 6 innings, Ohtsuka surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs.

Wamochia Kitwana hit a 2-run triple off Aurelio Simpelo in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Chihuahuas in front, 4-3. Kitwana had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.

"We had a good game plan," Ohtsuka said, "and we were able to execute it."

With the win, Chihuahua upped its record to 53-53.
