The Pollo Diablo grabbed a win, 5-2, at Kylins Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Xi'an pitcher Jade Syvestre. Syvestre went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Jim Canniff came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 2-1. The Pollo Diablo improved to 37-44.

Tocumen used the timely hitting of Jesús Garza to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Pollo Diablo ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Tocumen skipper Phorgotten Son.
