Pollo Diablo Fall Short, 3-2, at Thunder Bay

Thunder Bay turned a good effort from starter Cesario Palomera into a win over the Tocumen Pollo Diablo at Thunder Bay Grounds. The final score was 3-2. The winning pitcher was Palomera, now 3-5. He tossed 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. With the win, Thunder Bay upped its record to 24-18.
Matashichi Egami dealt the Pollo Diablo a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Thunder Bay leading 1-0, Egami, who is tied for 2nd in the LOD in home runs with 8, hit a 1-2 cutter for a 2-run double.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Tocumen manager . "The effort was great."
